It's that time again!  Mark your calendars for the seventh annual Texal Hold 'em fundraiser in the beautiful Aronimink ballroom on Thursday, April 19, 2012.  We set a record with nearly 200 attendees last year, and we're pushing hard to raise the bar again this year.  Stay tuned as we add more details about this year's event, including auction items up for grabs.  In the meantime, click on our invitation to register today!

We'd like to give a special shout out to our two sponsors last year:  Blank, Rome and LiquidHub.  We'd love to get more sponsors involved this year, so here's the deal:  for $3500, you or your company will get signage at the event, plus recognition before and afterwards in our communications to CB followers.  And most importantly, your sponsorship entitles you to a table for 10 at the event.  Bring friends, clients or whoever you like, and we'll make sure a good time is had by all.

Cost

For those of you who have been able to join us in prior years, you know what a huge success this event has become.  As in prior years, we were blessed in 2011 to hear from some of the families we helped during the year.  It is never easy to stand up in front of 200 people and share some deeply personal aspects of one's life, and we are grateful for those who do so each year.  There is no clearer evidence of what we have been able to accomplish than hearing directly from those we have helped.      

Please take a moment to sign up for the 2012 event right away.  The CB Texas Hold’em event at Aronimink has become a tradition around here: a terrific cause, good food and drink, and a fun night of poker for all skill levels.  Prior knowledge of the game is not necessary - we have professional dealers who will coach the Newbies until they’re comfortable shouting “All in!”  Prizes are awarded throughout the evening, including random prizes for all participants as well as big league items for the players lucky/skillful enough to make it to the final table.  Remember that the real winners are the local individuals and families in need who are on the receiving end of Community Backstop’s financial resources.  Check out the pictures from prior years’ events and imagine yourself in the middle of the action!

• Buy-In:
• If paid at the door: $250 (3,000 chips) 
• If paid in advance, your $250 gets an extra 1,000 chips (4,000 total)
• Optional Add-On: $50 (1,000 add'l chips)

Tournament Prizes

• Top 10 Places - TV's, trips, video games, gift certificates, and more!

Prepayment Bonus Drawing

• Pay by April 1 and you will automatically be entered into a special drawing for pre-registering, including portable DVD players, iPods, and more!

Door Prizes

• Everyone has a chance to go home a winner. Each person attending will be registered for a chance to win a door prize.
